Goradia Capital Acquires Sunoco's Phenol Assets

Sunoco says it will sell its phenol manufacturing facility in Haverhill, OH to Goradia Capital (Houston) for $106.5 million. The deal marks Sunoco’s exit from the chemicals business. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of 2011. Sunoco has been shedding its chemicals assets since it announced its plans to exit the business in 2009.
