DuPont says it has started its second polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) polymer resin production line at Fayetteville, NC facility. Increasing production of the resin, which is used to make DuPont's Tedlar films for photovoltaic (PV) backsheets, is part of a previously announced, multi-phase $295 million investment to more than double the company's Tedlar capacity. Capacity terms were not disclosed.
