Russian Fertilizer Producer to Launch IPO

Fertilizer producer Uralchem (Moscow) says it plans to float a stake of up to 40% through an initial public offering (IPO) on the London stock exchange. The IPO could raise up to $600 million, sources say. Pricing of the IPO is expected to be announced at the end of this month. Proceeds from the IPO will be used to pay down part of the company's estimated debts of more than $1.3 billion, amassed via a series of acquisitions over the last three years.
