JSR, Ube Industries, and Mitsubishi Rayon in talks to merge ABS businesses

JSR, Ube Industries, and Mitsubishi Rayon on Monday announced that they have reached a basic agreement to start negotiating merging their respective acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) manufacturing subsid- iaries. The merger concerns Techno Polymer, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSR, and UMG ABS, which Ube Industries and Mitsubishi Rayon equal- ly own. Under the terms of the deal JSR, Ube, and Mitsubishi Rayon have agreed conclude merger and shareholders agreements between Techno Polymer and UMG ABS by 31 October.
