Borealis Renews Feedstock Contract at Finnish Site; Invests in Borstar Pilot Plant

Borealis has signed a new 10-year contract with Neste Oil (Helsinki) covering the supply of all feedstocks and product streams between Neste Oil's refinery and Borealis's production plants at Porvoo, Finland as well as related logistics services. Securing the feedstock supply and refinery integration will allow Borealis to continue developing its Porvoo facilities, says Mark Garrett, CEO of Borealis. Borealis has also announced that it will invest ?5 million in the existing Borstar pilot plant at Porvoo. The investment includes the addition of new hardware and will enable the company to further develop its proprietary Borstar technology.
