ICL to Build Phosphate Plant in Kansas

ICL Performance Products (St. Louis), a subsidiary of Israel Chemicals (Tel Aviv), says it will build a sodium hexametaphosphate plant at its Lawrence, KS facility. "With the expansion, ICL will have a greater opportunity to meet customers' needs in several growth markets, including food additives, dentifrice, beverages and water treatment," says Angela Schewe, director of ICL’s North American phosphates business. The new plant is due onstream by late 2011.
