Medical carts to mobilize and customize data acquisition systems

The use of mobile carts specifically designed for use in hospitals, make convenient, portable data acquisition systems. Hardware options allow for adaptation to All-in-One computers, as shown in Figure 1, or desktop and laptop computers with a single 22-inch monitor, mounted horizontally, or even dual 22-inch monitors, mounted vertically, to maximize viewing space of data plots, setup programming, and GUIs. Auxiliary hardware is readily available for these medical carts, in the form of bolt-on cable bins, to hold wiring, cables, and gages, surge protector accessories, to provide power to all of the on-board equipment, requiring only one power cable to the wall, and pull-out drawers, to hide wiring and cable accessories that may appear unsightly in the laboratory. Accessories are also available for pull-out keyboards, shelves of various sizes to hold the data acquisition hardware, and even small rotating shelves for use as a mouse pad (not shown in photos).
