Carlyle to sell Axalta shares

Private equity frm The Carlyle Group (Washington, DC) has announced it is selling 35 million shares in Axalta in a secondary ofering. The exact timing and price of the ofering have not been disclosed. Carlyle currently owns about 74.1% of Axalta, and will have an ownership stake of 56.6%- 58.9% after the ofering is complete, depending on how many shares are purchased by underwriters.
