摘要

The deformation mechanisms of a fine-grainedAl 7475 superplastic alloy deformed under non-optimumconditions for superplasticity, but under which still severalhundred per cent of elongation are achieved, have been studiedby means of texture analysis. It has been found thatcrystallographic slip plays an important role in the deformationof this alloy under such conditions. After testing both along therolling and the transverse directions, the orientations of thetexture belonging to the #alpha#-and #beta#-fibers are retained.This is not consistent with current models of deformation forrandomly oriented polycrystals.
