PAJ Chairman Finds METI's Phase 2 Ordinance As Appropriate

Yasushi Kimura, Chairman of Petroleum Association of Japan and Chairman of JX Nippon Oil & Energy, said recently that the second phase of the ordinance (Phase 2) as presented by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for the Sophisticated Methods of Energy Supply Structures (SMESS) was appropriate and “I can confirm that the ordinance adequately reflects what the oil refiners want in it.”
