U.S. Sempra Energy Applies for Construction of Port Arthur LNG Facility

The U.S. Sempra Energy recently announced that it has officially filed application with the Federal EnergyRegulatory Commission (FERC) seeking authorization to site, construct and operate the proposed Port Arthur natural gasliquefaction facility in Port Arthur, Texas. The Port Arthur LNG Project is a large-sized LNG development project withproduction capacity of 13.5 million tons per year and is scheduled to launch operation in 2023.
