CDU Capacity in Asia and Middle East in 2017 to Rise by 17%

According to the survey report recently released by the Japan Petroleum Energy Center (JPEC), crude distillation unit capacities in Asia and the Middle East area in 2017 are expected to reach 44,803,000 barrels per day, with an increase of 17.4% compared with 2011. By region, Asian CDU capacity will rise by 15% to 34,673,000 bpd and the Middle East will raise the capacity by 26.4% to 10,130,000 bpd from 2011, which shows that refining capacity in the Middle East will significantly build up.
