Sumitomo Kyoden Almost Completed Coal Procurements On Yearly Contract Basis For FY 2011

Sumitomo Joint Electric Power Co., Ltd (Sumitomo Kyoden) has almost completed its coal procurements on yearly contract basis for its consumption in the fiscal year 2011. The company procured most of coal for its consumption on spot supply basis until the fiscal year 2009, but in the fiscal year 2010, increased coal procurements on yearly contract basis and approximately half of its procurement was made on yearly contract basis.
