Spot LNG Cargoes Imported to Japan in Aug Averagely Priced at US$5.4

According to the survey on prices of spot-LNG, which was released by the Ministry of Economy, Trade andIndustry (METI) on September 9th, the average price of spot LNG cargoes that arrived in Japan in August was US$5.4/MMBTU. Although supply-demand balance of LNG was slightly tight due to the trouble on the supply side such as a gasleak occurred at the Gorgon LNG plant in Australia, the average price of LNG imported into Japan decreased by US$0.6/MMBTU from the previous month.
