Indonesia’s Coal Production and Export Drop Dramatically in 2015

In a reflection of the demand for thermal coal remaining in the doldrums throughout the world, Indonesia’s coalproduction and export dropped dramatically in 2015.In fact, according to the Ministry of Energy and Minerals Resources of Indonesia, the country’s coal productionvolume in the calendar year 2015 stayed at 392 million tons, down by 66 million tons (14.4%) from the prior year.
