Coal Consumption By Kansai About 3.5 Mil MT in FY 2010

Coal consumption of Kansai Electric Power in the fiscal year 2010 is expected to be 3,500,000 MT to 3,600,000 MT. From February 2010, the No.2 unit (coal-fired with output capacity of 900,000 kW) at Maizuru thermal power station has been operated on trial basis which has increased the company's coal consumption.
