FPCC Carries On Operations As Usual In Spite Of Protest Demonstration

Formosa Petrochemical Corporation, or FPCC, in Taiwan, is carrying on operations of naphtha crackers in petrochemical complex in Mailiao, Yulin County, although local inhabitants enforced protest demonstration by roadblock, etc. There has been no problem on shipments of products. Local media in Taiwan sensationally reported this week that approximately 1,000 inhabitants conducted protest demonstration by blocking three main roads that lead to the complex, keeping out the employees and the tank lorry.
