On 29th January, Macarthur Coal Ltd. of Australia announced to give up acquisition of coal company of the same country, Donaldson Coal Holding Ltd. At the end of December 2009, Macarthur Coal had reached an agreement with Noble Group Ltd. of Hong Kong on purchase of 79.9 percent shares of Donaldson Coal from the Group for the purchase amount of Australian Dollars 185,800,000.
