US FERC to Approve Magnolia LNG Project

The United States Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has decided to approve construction andoperation of the Magnolia LNG Project, a LNG production project in the U.S., and natural gas infrastructure required todeliver natural gas to the operating liquefaction terminal. In the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), whichwas released on July 17 (local time in the U.S.), the FERC came to a conclusion that limited adverse environmentalimpacts that would be result from construction and operation of the proposed projects could be reduced to less thansignificant levels.
