Annual Coal Consumption to be 0.30 Million MT at Orix’s New Unit in Soma

Japan’s Orix Corporation will consume 0.30 million MT of thermal coal per annum at new coal-fired unit in Soma,Fukushima.The capacity of the new unit will be 112 MW and the boiler will be designed to co-combust biomass fuel as well.When the new unit is operational, ratio of biofuel consumption to coal will be 2 - 3% on a calorie basis.
