Sustainable material in Volvo trucks

Sabic Innovative Plastics's latest project with Volvo Trucks involves the use of an up-cycled material from post-consumer recycled content. Valox iQ PBT resin incorporates up-cycled water bottles and is used for the brackets of the side air deflection system of all seven models in the 2012 Volvo VN platform of heavy trucks. The material is said to help deliver top performance under harsh driving conditions as well as attain greater sustainability.
