摘要

Good things come in many forms, but in plastic surgery, good science is a wonderful thing, as it provides answers that guide clinical practice and in this case answers to deal with the 45-year nemesis of breast implants. It is my pleasure to discuss the excellent study by Tamboto, Vickery, and Deva that uses an in vivo porcine model to prove a causal link between subclinical infection, biofilm formation, and capsular contracture.
