Most units of major UK furniture-making group Christie Tyler Ltd have been sold by administrators Ernst & Young LLP,following the group's 1 July move into receivership.Christie Tyler,which employed over 1500 at eight sites in England and Wales "had for some time struggled in the face of increasing international competition,and more recently,weaker retail trading," said a statement from Ernst & Young.For example,falling UK consumer demand resulted in the closure of major high-street furniture retailers Allders and Courts in the past year,the administrators noted.
