HAPPICH HAS LIGHTER, QUIETER ENGINE COVER

Wuppertal, Germany - Acoustics specialists at Happich Division, Pelzer Acoustic Products, said 11 Jan that they have developed a new "double-sided sound-absorbing engine cover." This component, made of micro-perforated aluminium foil with a sound-absorbent PU foam or glass-fibre filling is called Versapanel. It cuts noise in the engine compartment by 4 decibels compared with standard covers, and halves the weight, a Happich statement said.
