Remington Arms workers target job security

Generations of American sportsmen have grown up hunting with Remington products. Remington rifles helped tame the Old West over 100 years ago. They've been proudly carried by American soldiers for decades. But that long tradition is threatened today. Trading on its good name, Remington Arms recently began flooding the U.S. market with cheaper products made by a Russian firm-the same outfit that makes the AK-47 assault rifle. That has employees of the 189-year-old company-members of UMWA L.U. 717-both angry and anxious.
