Methanogenic potential of anaerobic biomass. Laboratory and full-scale experiments

Digested sludge was subjected to ultrasonic disintegration to intensify its anaerobic fermentation under lab. and full-scale conditions. An about 20% increase in MeH recovery from the sludge without any methanogenic potential. The lab. results were used for the planning the full-tech. scale exps. and improving the operational efficiency of the wastewater treatment plant.
