In this issue, Feldman et al. present a case series of hy-perbaric oxygen therapy (HBO2T) used in combination with therapeutic hypothermia (TH) in the management of severe carbon monoxide poisoning with neurologic involvement [1]. The patients described in the series all seemed moribund and beyond help, yet three of four made full recoveries, and the remaining patient was left with relatively mild neurologic sequelae following the HBO2T/TH combined treatment.
