Government to fund an overseas study tour. A group will visit countries where standards of mining safety and health are at world-class levels, benchmark against those standards and provide a report at the 2003 Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference. The Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference was held in Townsville in 4-7 August 2002 with more than 450 delegates and partners enjoying one of Australia's most successful safety and health conferences.
