Ukraine-The Netherlands: cooperation with good prospects

Kingdom of the Netherlands is one of the main economic partners of Ukraine in the Western Europe. The interview of Marie Florans van Es, counselor, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Netherlands to Ukraine, to UMR embraces state and prospectives of Ukrainian - Dutch economic cooperation development. I would say that we have a good cooperation that is constantly developing. According to the Dutch Statistics the volume of bilateral trade in 1999 equaled EUR 217 mn, while in 2002 it reached EUR 550 mn. These are agriculture, industry and transport at the moment. Agriculture is one of the leading branches of the Ukrainian economy. The Netherlands is also known for its agricultural sector. And it is obvious that agricultural produce occupies the leading place in the structure of bilateral trade.
