Monitoring of both national and world commodity markets is one of the main directions of Derzhzovnishinform Center activities. The interview of Tamara Klitochenko, Director of the Center, to the Ukrainian Market Review magazine analyzed results of Ukraine's foreign trade over 2002 and prospectives of its development in 2003-2004. In our opinion, foreign economic activities of Ukraine over 2002 were successful. The total value of Ukrainian export augmented by 10.21 percent versus 2001 and by 23 percent against 2000. Maintenance of export revenues stable growth in 2000 - 2002 (by annual 10 percent in average) demonstrates gaining of experience and improvement of activities of exporting companies' marketing departments. Import has also expanded over 2002 (by 6 percent if compared with 2001 and by 19.8 percent against 2000). Meanwhile, trade balance remained positive.
