The issue of what Ukraine's advantages are in joining the world trade community is no more on the agenda, since the pro-WTO choice has already been made. The economic elite of Ukraine is getting clearer notion of the fact that the country's isolation from global economic process is the way to nowhere, and that Ukraine's prospects for development depend on the state's integration in the world economic system. It is only the integration that will take the second-rate label off the country and turn Ukraine into profitable and reliable partner for participants of the global trade. The WTO membership will give Ukraine such a status in the international economic community.
