DANCER Colin Thwaites can give "Strictly" stars a run for their money. The Kellingley Colliery heading electrician who got into ballroom dancing seven years ago has been wowing judges with his Latin, modern sequence and old time dancing in which he is now one of the UK's top amateur dancers in the 35-49-year-old category. Colin, who started his mining career at Kellingley almost 29 years ago and who is also a part-time rescueman, is a four-times Yorkshire Regional winner. Last year's national championships confirmed him No 2 in the country after an intense nine hour competition at Blackpool's Winter Gardens.
