Deferred tons, huge stockpiles likely to slow buying even if winter turns ugly

Lost in all the talk about winter and the thought that maybe Mother Nature will intervene in the domestic market and spur some coal buying is overlooking one big hill that has to be climbed. And that hill is made out of coal. Stockpiles are still so big that in case of a zombie apocalypse or other such disaster the guys at the coal-fired plants could hole up, shoot a few zombies, and still keep the power on for a month or three.
