Great Northern, Northern Cheyenne ready to deal, Interior Department not so sure

While Great Northern Properties and Montana's Northern Cheyenne tribe feel like they've worked out an equitable coal swap, the federal government isn't so sure. During a hearing before the Mouse Subcommittee on Indian & Alaska Native Affairs Wednesday an official with the Department of Interior was worried that Great Northern Properties would be getting nearly twice as much coal as the Northern Cheyenne. The hearing was called by the Montana congressional delegation, which is pushing to get the deal done.
