Peabody sees rich growth opportunities and a rich market for met coal properties

Peabody Energy realized quite a while back that a global coal market with enormous growth potential would eventually emerge, and that participation from more than one key region was essential to building its clout as a major player in the industry. Nothing has changed of late, as the St. Louis-based coal giant continues to expand worldwide, adding to its already significant footprint in coal-rich Australia and supply-hungry Asia. The idea is to grow where the markets are growing.
