The best programme is based on the excellence model and participants develop skills to help them plan and manage improvements that will measurably raise the performance of their organisation. Each programme is made up of eight half-day workshops which explore a specific area of management, enabling participants to identify ideas for improvement. Participants are set individual assignments between workshops to further their knowledge (see box for a typical workshop schedule). The programme works by encouraging delegates to go back to basics and to define what they want. It then provides the tools to break those ambitions down into achievable goals, and take action to reach them.
