On 22nd April Hovione held the opening ceremony of its new active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing site in Cork. The company explains that its research centres (New Jersey and Lisbon) assure the development and manufacture of clinical trial materials for a growing number of compounds: more than 40 only in the last year. Hovione felt thatadditional capacity is needed to guarantee absolute assurance of supply to its customers.
