Major AfH tissue producers to hike prices a second time this year,while dealing with higher market pulp,parent roll prices

Citing higher costs especially for raw materials such as market pulp and recovered paper,several away-from-home(AfH)producers planned 9-12% fall price increases for their tissue and toweling products,contacts told Pulp & Paper Week.Georgia-Pacific(G-P),Kimberly-Clark(K-C),and SCA Tissue North America plan to increase prices with effective dates from Sept.15 to Oct.15 as the companies try to recoup revenues that an ongoing bull run in market pulp and recovered paper have eroded.Contacts last week said the increases have a solid chance of being implemented because of continued demand growth in tissue/toweling,the high fiber costs,and a trend of higher prices for tissue paper parent rolls.
