Canfor, Domtar, Mercer slate $30 declines on US NBSK to $990 for August; producer stock rises, spot prices slide

As the once hot northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp market continued to cool and softwood producer inventories closed June up two days of supply, Canfor Pulp, Domtar, and Mercer International announced a second straight price decline in the USA this week that would bring NBSK list prices to $990/tonne, down $30 effective Aug. 1.
