Third increase since last November set by Expera

Expera Specialty Solutions this week announced a third price increase on its base papers since November, setting a $50/ton increase on all base paper products effective with shipments on or after July 15. The company, which was formed a year ago by private equity firm KPS Capital Partners by combining two mills from Wausau Paper, two mills from Packaging Dynamics, and output from a Verso paper machine in Maine, also announced $50/ton increases on all of its base papers effective Mar. 21 this year and Nov. 1, 2013.
