Three softwood kraft pulp producers last week slated 10/tonne increases in China,effective with November shipments,while most hardwood kraft producers will push for higher prices around the globe,contacts told Pulp & Paper Week.Arauco,Canfor,and a Russian pulp producer were after another price increase in China last week but with 10 previous months of back-to-back increases implemented,buyers balked at the latest pricing move,contacts said at the end of last week.From North America,northern bleached softwood kraft pulp is up almost 36%.
