CRB demand cools off from hot summer pace as backlogs have dropped

Total US folding boxboard production in the first nine months this year grew almost 1% despite lower output from the largest recycled folding segment,according to the American Forest & Paper Assn (AF&PA).US recycled folding carton production for boxboard dropped almost 4% to 1.7 million tons through September and was down almost 2% for the month as the market cooled from its torrid demand earlier this summer,according to sources.
