Lincoln Paper, Tissue mill assets to be auctioned off, while PM 8's fate unclear

A federal bankruptcy court judge approved the sale of software to run Lincoln Paper and Tissue's machine No. 8 to liquidator Gordon Brothers, which acquired the mill assets in Maine for $5.9 million in December, and is auctioning off the operation's machinery and equipment on Apr. 19-22. Gordon Brothers in February sold PM 8 to an unnamed company. A union leader claimed that PM 8 was sold to KP Tissue and that it may be moved to Canada, WABI TV 5 in Maine reported on Mar. 25.
