Sack kraft paper producers in Europe have been talking to some customers about a possible Euro 50-60/tonne price increase for the second quarter, according to PPl Europe. Mondi or BillerudKornas were expected to be the first to announce, but this week smaller player Smurfit Kappa Nervion unveiled a Euro 60 (US$65) price hike for its unbleached sack kraft paper, effective for deliveries in Europe and overseas as of June, PPl Europe reported.
