Cutsize office paper prices on move, up $10, while offset, printing/converting grades rise by $20-30, of $70 increase

North American imcoated freesheet (UFS) paper prices arched up by $ 10/ton to $30 this month in the first solid movement of a second increase since October, contacts said. The largest volume UFS grade, 20-lb repro bond cutsize office paper in 92 brightness, increased $10 ($0.50/cwt) to a top level of $1,040 ($52/cwt) - its highest mark in 13 months, according to PPI Pulp & Paper Week. Pricing for 50-lb offset rolls was up $30 ($ 1.50/cwt) this month, and in addition to a $ 10 ($0.50/cwt) rise last month was up $40 ($2/cwt) of the planned $70 ($3.50/cwt) increase that began at the start of March across UFS grades. The $920 top for 50-lb offset was the highest level in 1 Vi years in the USA for the grade.
