Paper is dead! Long live paper!

I STOLE THIS EXPRESSION above from a papermaker friend of mine who responded to something I wrote on Twitter; it is amazing at how many of us even in mis industry are using social media to get our thoughts and feelings out there into the ether. The latest industry Twitter storm has been caused by Google's declaration (with other companies who have a stake in online offerings) to "Go paperless in 2013". My inbox has been full of emails from those in the printing and paper industries who are completely livid that such a thing should happen, and have been blogging, emailing, Facebooking, everything except actually writing a proper letter. Quite hilarious!
