Investors to restart cartonboard production at for mer Stromsdal mill in Finland

A group of investors has set its sights on restarting production at the cartonboard mill of the bankrupt Stromsdal in Juankoski, central Finland. Led by Val Samoriz from the Netherlands, the group recently signed the letter of intent regarding the acquisition of Stromsdal's assets. The deal was to be wrapped up in late March. The restart of production at the 70,000-tonne/yr folding boxboard facility is slated for May.
