An application and use of economic and statistical x control chart design for the textile yarn industry

This article presents an application to determine the optimum value of sampling frequency, considering both cost and quality of yarn in the textile yarn industry. Duncan's economic and statistical X control chart design model is used for this purpose. The study presents the optimum sampling frequency, and the other control chart parameters, such as sample size and width of control chart limit values for all process quality parameters of every process stage for cotton yarn spinning.
