Team sense-making: A mental model for navigating uncharted territories

摘要

The sense-making mental model described in this article provides a new perspective for managers to formulate new teams facing tasks filled with uncertainties. The model can serve as the right tool for a different job than command-and-control has taken on. Specific features of the sense-making model and the assumptions involved in realizing the model are described. (64 refs.)
