A generally valid commonly accepted model for assessing thereliability of measurements in the field of medical and dentalmaterials is hard to establish. The results obtained in differentlaboratories sometimes are difficult to Compare. We therefore discussdifferent assessors of the quality of measurements From bothconceptual and operational perspectives. Especially addressed are theCustomary terms accuracy, error and uncertainty, these terms thatoften are Mixed rather confusingly in expressing the quality ofexperiments. The aim of This work is to present the advantages ofchoosing uncertainty rather than error As the appropriate assessor ofthe reliability of measurements. The transverse Deflection testing offour denture-base acrylic resins served as an experimental Basis forthe anlaysis.
